PERSONAL FINANCE & LIFESTYLE BUSINESS

Finally, a way around the Apple’s dismal blockade of Adobe’s Flashplayer. For years people have been hoping for a way around what can be called one of the most unapproved decisions of Steve Jobs.

However Steve Jobs does justify his decisions and I do approve of them, because the flash-player does crash A LOT! And that is something I would not want happening on my iPhone, ever… And, Apple being the control freaks that they are I can only imagine how much the Skyfire developers had to go through to get this approved onto iTunes.

But the undeniable potential of this application is not something that anyone can resist. It’s also a guilty free way for Apple to kind of give the people what they want; So no finger prints here!

Personally many of the sites which I visit through my desktop which have content based on Flash, luckily have already developed either an App or a mobile version of their site where I can already view these contents on! But there are still a lot of content on the Internet which have come to the submission to Apple yet.

It’s finally great to view live streaming on the iPhone. Cobert, South Park, Versus… etc.  When you turn on the App, it loads the home-screen page. On top none other than Google powered search engine! some top news, an ad, and my favorite, Featured Sites. Featured sites is basically all the reasons why I just paid $2.99 for something which is totally free otherwise.

I must give it to Skyfire Labs, Inc. Because they found one of the biggest if not the biggest loops holes for the iPhone.

At first I felt disappointed because some flash based websites would not load onto the App, but I later found that some of the companies like, HULU did allow them to do it. But there are apparently quite a few which you can, but none of which I normally visit I guess. So these guys are running into more walls than I first had thought. I mean I can understand HULU’s capital reasoning behind their rejection; and they do have an App on the iPhone kind of. And it’s very limited, because you can’t use it unless you are invited and probably paid in the near future and who knows what else.

As much as I find it nearly impossible to turn something free into something you would later have to pay for. I consider that an amazing accomplishment. I think that HULU can do it because they will be able to get certain specific licensed contents which have heavy demand. It’s just a matter of working out the right price!

Back to Skyfire. So I must applaud the Skyfire Labs, Inc. for accomplishing this great feat of trouble even more success. Also to add another point; this is a very specific accomplishment but I feel that guys over at Skype! can learn a thing or two form this. So, Skyfire is a big welcoming App to the iPhone, I just hope that there are more rea$onable ways of handling this type of situations. Ahem!
