Microsoft has amounted so many successful products under their belt, that they would put 99% of the companies out there to shame. Their products target and meet the needs of all categories for software development in almost all commercial, corporate, and personal uses. But one big drawback has been holding all of these products from reaching their full potential, and that was not being able to have an integration of these products on a mobile platform.

Window’s Phone 7. Why now? Companies Microsoft, sells their products/services based on one strategy which I would like to call; Milk and timing. It’s a complicated formula of quantity and quality control, based on deep analytics of commercial market demand, supply and timing of execution. Basic idea is to milk the market for every little thing that is a standard. Like Apple releasing the video capabilities on iPhone way later because they could.

Speaking of Apple; Microsoft being the master of this has been recently challenged by its former and again new competitor, Apple. But I believe that Microsoft and Apple are two snipers in the jungle, and Microsoft has been intentionally revealing itself opening to vulnerability in order to expose the enemies hiding spots in the jungle by having them fire a shot. It’s risky but Microsoft can afford it and, and Apple just started to play at their level just a few years now. And, Microsoft still makes more money than Apple and Google combined; And it’s so deeply rooted in the market that its nearly impossible that it will ever make less even against the two combined.

I think that the Window’s Phone 7 is just a flexing of Microsoft muscle, setting a reminder that they still matter a lot whether people like it or not; in my opinion and that this is just the first wave of many great things to come from Microsoft. But I will admit that Microsoft does need to pick up its pace faster because this is a new era…
