There is a very large and unsafe gap developed among the governing powers on how to look at and understand the realities of the economic stress and how to react to it. Many strong debates and arguments are talking place to settle on decisions that will benefit multiple parties. The biggest dividing interest among them is the investment time frames.

Long term versus short term; this is what it comes down to ultimately looking at the current situations. Governments are in it for the long run because they need to worry about and sustain what ever the remaining fundamental parts of system are remaining, to slowly regain the power to start paying debt. Financial institutions are playing for short term gains and want to capitalize faster on their accumulated investments.

So the decisions being made right now require a certain level and type of judgment, but in order to properly do that we have to have a standard of understanding. Media portrays a lot of information and views based on biased opinions and lobbied efforts to promote special interests. But there are certain sources and way too even look the information generally distributed in the public and understand the truth.

Logic, street-smarts, and fundamental beliefs can be used properly make sense of most things. In many cases what does not sound right, usually isn’t. Next would be to have some knowledge on the subject matter, on that point it’s split down the middle where book smarts versus street smarts play in different aspects.

Off the topic, to make an extra point you should take what you hear and make sense of it so that it benefits you! If you don’t like what you hear don’t be afraid to stand for your ideas. For example in many cases there are a lot of people who develop one opinion and then have a change of mind for the wrong reasons; Either because some else persuaded them to, or they were afraid to defend it. But if you know something, that means something especially if you can back it up and believe in it! But if you are proven wrong you must accept it and do the right thing.

I believe that if you want to properly make decision you must have academic knowledge but on top of that many times greater you must have understanding. Right understanding comes from people with right agendas. These are the standards so everyone could try to be clear.
